Our place is right there at 359/D-1 Vinayak Sumruti in Shaniwar Peth. If you know Pune, you know this area is always moving. We are right opposite the Rasoi Dining Hall, so the smell of lunch usually hits us around noon, which makes everyone pretty hungry. It’s a bit of a maze getting to Virachi Talim Chowk sometimes with all the scooters parked everywhere, but we’ve managed to stay here for a long time. Birla Institute of Professional Studies isn't some giant campus. We have a few rooms where the students sit and we talk about their futures and what they need to learn. The benches aren't brand new, and the whiteboards have seen better days, but they do the job. We spend most of our time helping young people figure out their next steps. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times it’s just loud with everyone talking at once during the break. We don't have a big reception desk or fancy brochures. Usually, parents just walk in and ask what we do. We show them the classrooms and explain the courses. It’s a practical setup. The building has that old Pune feel to it, thick walls and a bit of dust here and there. We keep the fans running and try to make sure everyone has enough space to write. It’s a simple life of teaching and learning in the heart of the city.
