Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College Of Engineering

The engineering college is a big landmark on the Pune-Satara Road. It is a very busy area with trucks and cars rushing by all day long. The campus itself is quite spread out with different buildings for the various departments. It has been here a long time, so some of the labs look a bit dated, but they still have all the equipment the students need. The walk from the main gate to the back of the campus can take a good ten minutes if you are moving slowly. There is a lot of concrete and stone everywhere. During the monsoon, the ground gets quite slick and we have to be careful walking. The canteen is a popular spot for both students and staff, usually serving hot vada pav and tea. It can get very loud in there when the classes let out. We have a lot of workshops where you can hear the sound of machines running. It is a place that feels very lived-in. There are old trees scattered around that provide some shade, which is nice during the hotter months. The students are always busy with their projects and carrying large drawing boards or laptops. It is not a fancy, modern glass building. It is a solid, functional place where a lot of work gets done every day. We have seen many batches of students come and go over the decades. It is just a regular part of life here.
