Kion India Pvt. Ltd. is located out at 5/4 Chanda Nagar, within the Kirloskar Compound. It’s a large area, and we have quite a bit of space to handle the heavy equipment and materials we deal with daily. The compound is usually full of movement—forklifts going one way, trucks being loaded in another spot. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is on moving heavy stuff efficiently. We aren't sitting in a high-rise office building with glass walls; we are down on the ground where the real work happens. The dust from the yard gets into everything, and the sun can be pretty brutal when you are outside checking inventory. Most of the staff here are used to the noise of engines and the clanking of metal. We spend our time managing the warehouse and making sure the equipment is ready for whoever needs it. It’s a straightforward business without a lot of bells and whistles. We don’t write long reports about our vision for the future; we just make sure the day’s work gets finished before we lock up the gates. Sometimes the equipment needs repairs or the schedule gets backed up, but we just handle it as it comes. It’s a solid, hardworking place to be, and we’ve been part of this compound for a good while. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing.
