Auro Consultants is based at 2038 Sadashir Peth on Tilak Road. This is one of the older parts of the city. The building is quite narrow and you have to be careful on the stairs. We’ve got a couple of rooms filled with wooden cupboards and old files. There’s always a lot of paper around because that’s just the nature of what we do. The desks are large and heavy, the kind they don't make anymore. We sit here and look through documents for most of the day. Tilak Road is always noisy with traffic, but once you’re inside the office, it gets a bit quieter. We don't have a reception area. If someone comes to see us, they usually just knock on the door and walk in. We offer advice and help with various processes. It’s mostly local people who know we are here. We’ve got a small pantry area with a kettle for making tea. Sometimes we spend hours just talking through a problem with a client over a plastic table. There are no fancy computers or big screens here, just the basics. The walls have a few maps and some old photos of the city. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by. It’s a humble place, but it serves us well for the work we do. We don't need a lot of modern things to get the job done right.
