Atul Vaidya Msc Geology

I have been working as a geologist for quite some time now, and I keep my office at B-3/13 in the Gananjay Society. It is right by Shivtara Garden here in Kothrud. Having an MSc in Geology means I spend a lot of my time looking at maps and soil samples, mostly trying to figure out what is going on underground for various projects. My workspace is usually cluttered with rocks, papers, and old reports that I have not filed away yet. Kothrud is a nice area to be based in because it is familiar and close to everything I need. People usually find me when they have questions about land or need a technical eye on a site. It is mostly just me here, though sometimes I have help when the workload gets too heavy to handle alone. I do not go for anything flashy; the desk is old and the bookshelves are sagging under the weight of textbooks and journals. I spend my days writing up findings and making sure the data makes sense. It is quiet work, but it is what I know how to do. Living and working in the same general area means I do not have to deal with a massive commute, which is a relief. Sometimes I take a walk in the garden nearby just to clear my head after staring at survey results for too long. It is a steady way to earn a living doing something very specific.
