Atul Provision & General Store

My family has been running Atul Provision & General Store on 4th Main Road here in Pimpri for many years. It is a simple setup with a counter right at the front. We sell everything from notebooks for the school kids to cooking supplies for the houses nearby. The shop is at number 1, so we see everyone passing by. It can get quite noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to it. I spend a lot of time just organizing the jars on the counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find things in the back. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to carry a bit of everything. You’ll find shampoos, snacks, different types of flour, and even some small hardware items if you look closely. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives and the boxes are sitting in the middle of the floor. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. The floor needs a good sweep every few hours because of the dust from the road. Dealing with change is the hardest part of the day, always running out of small coins. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the regulars get what they need. It is a lot of standing around and waiting, then a sudden rush of five people at once. That's how it goes.
