Anandi Sangit Kala Niketan

At Anandi Sangit Kala Niketan, we spend our days in Pimpri Colony. It’s a neighborhood where a lot is always happening, but inside our space, it’s mostly about the sound. We’ve been in Pimpri for a good while now, and the locals know where to find us. It’s not a huge institution with hundreds of rooms, just a modest place where we focus on music and arts. You can hear the instruments or the singing if you walk by at the right time. The floors are a bit worn from all the people coming and going over the years, but we like it that way. It feels lived in. We don't really do much advertising; people usually hear about us through word of mouth in the colony. Most of us here just enjoy the daily routine of practicing and teaching. There’s a certain rhythm to the day in Pimpri Colony that we’ve become a part of. We have students who come in after school or work, and the place fills up with energy. Then it gets quiet again later on. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a group of us who care about what we do. We keep the instruments in good shape and make sure the space is ready every morning. It’s a simple life, focused on the art we practice here and the people who join us.
