We operate out of H.No 7 in Shukrawarpeth, right in the Kamankatti area. Dealing with spices means the whole place usually smells like whatever we are trading that day. Amk Spice Trading Llp is based in a house, not some big corporate office park. It’s more personal that way. Shukrawarpeth is an old part of the city, and the streets are quite narrow. You have to be careful when you're driving through. We have bags of stuff coming in and out all the time. The walls are thick, which helps keep things a bit cooler, but it still gets stuffy. Kamankatti is a busy little pocket. We know our neighbors and they know us. Most of our work involves checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it goes to the right place. It’s dusty work. You end up with spice dust on your clothes and shoes by the end of the day. We don't have any fancy signage out front. If you are looking for H.No 7, you just have to keep your eyes open. It is a simple life here. We aren't looking to change the world, just trying to trade good spices and keep the business going. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the stock, so we have to be quick. It is just how it is. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake.
