You’ll find our clinic up on the second floor of the Santbhoomi Cooperative Society. We’re tucked right behind the Nigadi bus stand, which makes it easy for people traveling from further out to find us. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you’re here, it’s a relatively quiet space compared to the chaos of the bus stand downstairs. We focus on eye care, mostly doing routine checks and seeing people who are having trouble with their vision. The rooms are set up with the usual testing equipment, and we spend our days looking through lenses and checking charts. It’s a small team here. We know our regulars by name, and we see a lot of elderly folks from the neighborhood who’ve been coming to us for years. The light in the office is kept a bit dim because of the eye exams, which gives it a calm feel. Sometimes the noise from the buses drifts up, but we don't mind it much. We started this place because we wanted a simple clinic where people could get their eyes looked at without a lot of complications. We don't have a big fancy reception area, just a desk and some chairs for people to wait. It’s a straightforward setup where we focus on the patients and their needs. We stay busy enough throughout the week, especially on Saturdays when everyone is off work.
