3M India- Water Purification Systems

3M India- Water Purification Systems is located at B - 20 in the Ranjangaon M. I. D. C. area. This is a massive industrial estate quite a distance away from the main city traffic. It is a place where you see factory after factory. Our specific unit focuses on water purification systems, so we have a lot of large equipment and tanks around. The environment is very industrial. There are workers in uniforms, forklifts moving pallets, and the general hum of heavy machinery in the background. We do not have a fancy office with carpets; it is mostly concrete floors and functional spaces for testing and assembling the systems. The commute out to Ranjangaon can be long for some of us, but this is where the work happens. We get a lot of industrial water to deal with and we spend our time making sure the purification units are built right. It can be quite noisy when the production is at its peak. We have a small staff room where we eat our lunch and have some coffee. Most of the people around here are also working in the other nearby plants, so it is a very work-focused neighborhood. We do not have visitors very often unless it is a delivery driver or a technician coming to check something. It is just a regular industrial site where we get on with our daily tasks and then head home.
