You can find us at number 84, right near Ganesh Nagar in Shanmuganathapuri. Sri Vinayaga Enterprises is a small operation, and we like it that way. The building is a simple one-story structure with a metal shutter that we roll up every morning. It is usually quite hot here, so we keep the door open to get whatever breeze we can. There is a lot of dust from the road, so we spend the first half hour of the day just dusting off the shelves and the counter. We deal with all sorts of things that people in the neighborhood need. Most of our customers are folks we have known for years. They come in and we talk about their families before we even get to the business part. We keep our records in these thick registers with red covers. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. There is a small temple nearby, and you can hear the bells ringing in the mornings and evenings. It gives the place a nice feeling. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who have been doing this for a long time. We do not bother with fancy advertisements or big signs. People know where we are, and they know we will be here from nine until six. It is just a regular local business, nothing more and nothing less. We just try to get through the daily tasks without making any mistakes.
