Mani Kandan

My name is Mani Kandan and I run things from my place at No;557, Pandian St. It’s located in Balannager, right in the Thirukokarnam area of Pudukkottai. I’ve lived in Tamilnadu all my life. This business started small and it’s still pretty much that way. I handle most of the daily tasks myself. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when a lot of things come in at once, but I just take it one step at a time. The street here is usually quiet, except for the occasional motorbike passing by. My neighbors know I’m usually inside working. I don't use any fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with paper and a pen. It keeps things clear for me. People ask why I don't move to a bigger city, but I like it here in Pudukkottai. Everything I need is right around the corner. I don't spend money on advertising or big signs. If people need what I do, they find their way to Pandian St. I try to be fair with everyone. It's not a corporate thing with meetings and schedules. It’s just me doing my job. Some days are slow, which gives me time to fix things around the house. Other days I’m working until late at night. That's just how running a small business goes. I’m glad to be part of this community and help out when I can.
