Jeyaa Granites

We have been here at No:9-B/3 in the Sipcot Industrial Complex for a while now. Trichy Main Road gets pretty loud with all the trucks passing by, but we got used to it over the years. The yard is usually full of granite slabs leaned up against each other. Some days it is really dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the complex. We spend most of our mornings checking the stock and moving things around with the crane. It is heavy work and our shirts are usually soaked with sweat by noon. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small space where we sit and talk to people who stop by looking for stone. Most of the folks come from nearby towns or they are contractors working on local buildings. We started out small and just kept going. There is always stone grit on the floor no matter how much we sweep it up. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on plastic chairs for a bit. It is not an easy job, lifting and measuring all day, but it is what we do to get by. We know which pieces have better patterns and which ones are a bit rough. People come in, look around, and we show them what is available in the back. It is a simple setup here. We just try to keep the yard organized so we can find what someone needs without too much trouble.
