Vijay Farms (P) Ltd.

Our place is out at No:925 in Agaram, near the Kullanchavadi post office. Vijay Farms (P) Ltd. is really just a bunch of us working the land and trying to stay ahead of the seasons. It’s quiet out here compared to the city, which is how we like it. The farm takes up most of our time, from the early hours until it gets too dark to see the rows. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us out back or in the small shed we use for an office. The post office is the main landmark, so we tell people to look for that if they get lost. Farming is tough, and there are days when nothing seems to go right with the weather or the equipment, but we keep at it day after day. It’s a family-run thing, mostly. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to grow things and make sure the harvest is decent enough to keep us going for another year. Life moves a bit slower in Agaram than it does in the bigger towns. We know all the neighbors, and we usually share a meal or some tea if someone stops by to talk. It’s a simple life, focused on the dirt and the rain. Not much more to say about it than that, really.
