Lasen & Toubro Limited

Out on Mylam Road in Sedurapet, we have this big fabrication setup. It’s tucked away in Karasur Village, right near the local timber shop. We spend our days focusing on custombuilt formwork and fabrication tasks for the Rb & F and B&F Ic- Cese divisions. It’s a large industrial site, so it’s not really a place for casual visitors. We have heavy cranes and welding stations set up to handle the massive steel pieces that come through here. The air is usually thick with the sound of metal being cut and the smell of the welding machines. Most of the workers here live nearby, and we have a bit of a routine going. We start early when it’s still cool. It’s a lot of technical drawings and making sure the fabrication matches the specs exactly. The yard is usually full of finished pieces waiting for the trucks to take them to various project sites. We don't have a fancy office building here, just some cabins for the supervisors and the engineers. It’s a bit out of the way, which is good because we need the space for the big structures we build. Sometimes the road gets a bit muddy after the rain, which makes moving the heavy stuff a challenge. We just keep our heads down and focus on the steel. It's not a flashy job, but it's what we do day in and day out at this Karasur site.
