Greens Kitchen

Greens Kitchen is part of the Greens Guest House on Auroville Main Road. It is a green colored building, which makes it pretty hard to miss if you are driving toward the Visitor Centre. We are located right near the parking area for the centre, so we get a lot of people who are just arriving in Auroville. The vibe here is pretty relaxed. We have an outdoor feel to the place even though there is a roof over your head. It is Pondicherry, so it can get humid, but we have enough space for the air to move. We do not have a huge staff, just a few of us who do everything from taking orders to cleaning up. The menu is written on a board most of the time because it changes based on what we have. It is not a five-star setup, just a decent place to eat while you are visiting the area. A lot of travelers stay in the guest house and eat with us every day. We see people from all over the world here. It is nice to talk to them and hear their stories. We do not do anything fancy, just standard meals that fill you up. If you are heading to the Matrimandir or just walking around the area, you will likely pass right by us. It is an easygoing spot.
