I've been running Vivek Store here on Vivekananda Marg for a long time now. If you know Allahabad, you know how busy Jhonstonganj Crossing gets. It's right in the middle of everything. Every morning I open up and see the same faces heading to work. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just a regular place where we keep what people need. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We've got the 211003 pin code area covered mostly. Dust fills the air some days and it's raining on others, but we stay open regardless. My shelves are always a bit crowded because I try to squeeze in everything folks ask for. It’s funny how people use the crossing as a landmark to find us. I don't really have a big staff, just me and a couple of guys helping out when things get hectic in the evenings. We deal with all sorts of people, from students to elderly folks who’ve lived on Vivekananda Marg their whole lives. It’s not a corporate office, just a shop where you get your stuff and maybe talk about the weather for a minute. I don't really know what else to say. It’s just a store. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Mondays, the boxes pile up a bit. That's just life here in Allahabad. We’ve been here so long the walls could tell stories.
