Simmi Fashion Gallery is situated in Preetam Nagar. It’s a simple neighborhood and the shop reflects that. I don’t believe in having a lot of flash or expensive decorations. We just have the clothes and some basic racks. I’ve been in Preetam Nagar for years, so I’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy their own clothes. The shop is small and it can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. I usually have to move a chair out of the way just so someone can look at the mirror. It’s a bit of a squeeze but nobody seems to mind. I keep the door open to let some air in, though that means I have to sweep the floor pretty often. There’s a small park nearby and you can hear the birds or the sounds of kids playing in the evenings. It’s a peaceful spot to run a business. I don’t do any big marketing or put ads in the paper. People just know Simmi Fashion Gallery is here if they need something new to wear for a party or a casual day out. I try to keep the prices fair because I know my neighbors aren't looking for luxury prices. It’s just a honest little shop in a quiet part of town, and that suits me just fine. I enjoy the familiar faces that come through the door every week.
