The office itself is a simple room with a couple of tables and chairs. We have stacks of registers and some samples of construction materials we use for our infrastructure mart business. It’s a bit cramped, but it feels like home to us. We’ve been at 252/24 for years and the neighbors are all like family. We usually start the day by opening the shutters and sweeping out the front. People stop by all day long, sometimes just to say hello and other times to talk about a project. We don't have any flashy computers or high-tech gadgets, just what we need to get the job done. It’s a lot of manual work, keeping track of everything that comes in and goes out. When the weather is nice, we leave the door open to get a breeze, though that usually brings in the dust too. We just take it as it comes and keep the business running as best as we can in the heart of the city.
