Sahu General Store

Sahu General Store is right in the Sulem Sarai Market. We are located in the Sulem Sarai area of Allahabad. The market is always crowded and full of life, which we like. Our shop has been here for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a typical general store with all the usual items. We sell stuff like flour, oil, spices, and snacks. The space is a bit tight, especially when the morning deliveries arrive. We have to stack the sacks of grain near the entrance sometimes. It’s a family-run place. My brothers and I take turns managing the counter. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. Just the name of the shop painted on the board above the door. People come to us because we are right in the market and they know us. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of foot traffic. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when it’s busy. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us some chai when we can't leave the shop. It’s a good community here in Allahabad. We stay open as long as the market is active. It’s just a regular shop for people to get their groceries and move on with their day.
