Sachcha Bhandar

We are located at Shop No. 64/59 in the Main Market area on Lok Nath Road. It’s a lively part of Allahabad, especially being so close to Shrayemeerkha Chowk and Jawahar Square. If you’re heading towards the Lok Nath Yoga Center, you’ll find us right there. The market gets quite loud during the middle of the day with all the bikes and people walking by. Our shop, Sachcha Bhandar, isn’t very large, but we try to keep it filled with what people are looking for. We spend a lot of time sorting through stock and making sure things are where they should be. The floors get dirty pretty fast with everyone coming in from the street, so someone is always sweeping. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic, while other days we barely have time to sit down. We don't have fancy lights or big signs. It’s just a plain shop in a busy market. The locals know us by name, and we know who prefers which brand of tea or who always asks for a discount. We just keep at it, opening up early and staying until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s a decent way to spend the day and we’re just glad to be part of the community here.
