Puneet Bar

Our place is right on Vivekananda Marg in Allahabad. It’s been here for years, tucked into this old building near the 211003 area. We don’t have any of those neon signs or fancy music playing. It’s just a simple bar where you can come and have a drink after a long day. The tables are made of heavy wood and the stools are a little bit wobbly, but nobody seems to mind much. We get a lot of the same faces every evening. Mostly it’s guys from the neighborhood or people finishing their shifts at the local shops. It feels like a small community once the sun goes down. The lighting is a bit dim, which makes it a nice spot to just disappear for an hour. We serve the usual things, nothing too complicated. Our staff has been working here so long they usually know what a person wants before they even sit down. Sometimes the street outside gets really noisy with the traffic on Vivekananda Marg, but inside it stays pretty relaxed. We keep a few fans going because it gets quite stuffy in the summer months. It isn’t a place where you need to worry about how you look or what you’re wearing. It’s just an honest spot for a cold glass and some quiet conversation. We like it that way and so do the regulars who keep coming back to see us.
