Dr. Anis Clinic

Dr. Anis Clinic is located at 46a/3 in the Karbala area of Allahabad. We are right by the Karbala Masjid, so you can often hear the calls to prayer while we’re working. The streets around here are a bit narrow and it gets very crowded during certain times of the day. The clinic itself is quite modest. It’s a small space where people from the neighborhood come when they’re feeling under the weather. We have some benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy air-conditioned lobby, but we have a good ceiling fan. Allahabad gets really hot in the summer, so we try to keep the door open for a breeze when it’s not too dusty outside. Dr. Anis sees a lot of patients with fevers or coughs. We keep our supplies in some old metal cabinets and try to stay organized with a paper filing system. It’s a very local vibe here. Everyone knows everyone else, so there is usually a lot of chatting in the waiting area. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights, just the address and the name on the door. It’s a simple clinic serving the people who live around the masjid and the nearby streets. Most days are pretty much the same, just seeing folks and helping them get back on their feet.
