Children Hospital

Down in Rajapur, we have our Children Hospital. It is a local facility that has been part of the community for a good while. The building sits on a regular street and fits right in with the surrounding houses and shops. Most people in Rajapur know where we are. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. Just a place for kids to get checked out is what it is. The rooms are basic, with the usual medical stuff you would expect. We spend our time seeing patients and talking to parents about what's going on. While it's sometimes a bit slow, usually there's a line of people waiting. Since we don't have a giant staff, everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you might be filing papers and the next you're helping a nurse with a patient. It's a small-town kind of feel even though the health things we deal with are serious. The floors are tiled and we try to keep them clean, though muddy shoes from the Rajapur streets make it hard, especially when it rains. In the corner, some toys are kept to keep the kids busy while they wait. Even though it isn't a perfect system, we make it work every day for the people who need us. We open early and stay until the last patient is seen for the day. Living a simple life here at the hospital is fine with us. We just focus on the children who live nearby and need a doctor.
