Agrawal Kirana Stores is located in a very busy part of Allahabad. We are right there at Jawahar Square in Johnstonganj, on Zero Road. If you know the area, you know how crowded and lively it gets. Our shop has been around for quite some time. We deal in all the basic kirana items like pulses, rice, and spices. It’s a traditional kind of shop. We don’t have fancy displays or air conditioning. It’s just rows of bags and containers. The noise from the square is something we’ve grown to love over the years. It feels like the heart of the city. We open up early to beat the main heat of the day and stay busy until the evening. We don't really have a big staff, so it’s usually just family or a couple of helpers. We try to keep our prices honest because we know the people who shop here are our neighbors. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, but customers still find their way to us. It’s a simple life running a grocery store in U.P. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the basics and keep the business going as best as we can.
