Agarwal Traders Fertilizers Private Limited is right in the middle of Muthiganj at 1003/1471. If you know Allahabad, you know how busy Muthiganj can get. There’s always people moving about and the sound of horns in the street. Our shop is a bit cramped because we have so many bags of fertilizer stacked up. The address is 211003, and we’ve been here for a long time. It’s a family business, really. We don't have a big marketing department. It’s just us and a couple of helpers who know where everything is kept. The air inside always smells a bit like chemicals and old paper. We spend most of the day talking to farmers who come in from the outlying areas. They tell us about their crops and we give them what they need. The desk is covered in old receipts and pens that barely work. We don't mind the clutter though. It feels like home to us. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot inside, so we keep the big doors open. We drink a lot of water and wait for the evening breeze. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything. We just like being a part of the local market and seeing the same faces every week. It keeps the days from getting too lonely.
