Arnav Bricks

Our place, Arnav Bricks, is situated in Village Chakoliya, which is part of Lattara in Manikpur. We are in the Kunda Tehsil, and if you are looking for us, we are quite close to the railway station. Being near the station is handy because we can hear the trains passing by all day. It’s a rural area, and most of our work comes from people in the nearby villages who are building their own homes or fixing up their shops. We started this because there weren't many places nearby to get bricks without traveling a long way. It’s a family operation, mostly. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track everything. We mostly write things down in a ledger and keep it on the desk. The dust from the bricks gets everywhere, so don't wear your best clothes if you come to visit us. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and stacking every single day. We don't have any help with the loading usually, so we just do it ourselves. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. We just rely on people knowing we are here near the Manikpur station. Some days the sun is really beating down on us in Chakoliya, but we keep going. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to provide what the locals need and keep the business going.
