Navyandhra Agriculture Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group, Navyandhra Agriculture Farmers Producer Company Limited, operates out of Rani Peta. You can find us at H.No.9-107 in Bestavaripeta, which is in the Prakasam district. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to work together. It’s much easier to handle the crops and the selling part when you have a few heads involved instead of just one. The office in Rani Peta is where we meet up to discuss what we are planting or how the market is looking. It’s a basic building, nothing special to look at, but it works for us. Bestavaripeta is a rural place, so everyone pretty much knows everyone else. We deal with whatever the local soil gives us. Some years are better than others depending on the monsoon. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the farming part and trying to get a fair shake for the people in our group. Most of the time, we are out in the dirt, not sitting behind a desk. If you come by the office and nobody is there, we are probably out at one of the fields. That is just the way it is with a farmers' company. We try to keep things honest and just do the work that needs doing every day. It’s not always easy, but having a group makes the hard times a bit more manageable for everyone involved in the company.
