Jalasampada Fishermen Producer Company Limited is a small setup we have in the village of Pedda Palem. Specifically, we are at D.No. 4-6 in the Madanur area of Prakasam. This company is for the fishermen around here to come together and handle their business. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We are just local people who know the water. The office is right in the village, which makes it easy for the members to stop by after they are done for the day. We spend most of our time dealing with the catch and making sure everyone gets what they need. Prakasam can be a tough place to work, but we make do with what we have. There’s no fancy air conditioning or big signs here. Just a simple room where we keep our records and meet. Some days are slow, and some days everyone is rushing around because the fish are plenty. We don't try to make things sound better than they are. Fishing is hard, physical work, and the business side of it is just as messy sometimes. We just want to keep things running so the local families can keep doing what they’ve done for generations. It’s a community thing more than anything else. If you ever find yourself in Pedda Palem, you'll probably see us near the water or at the office. We usually have some tea going and are happy to talk about the latest season or what is happening.
