M. K. P. Transport

M. K. P. Transport is based over at Krishna Illam, which is on 7th Cross Street in Laxmi Nagar Extension. Porur is a place where there is always traffic and movement, so it makes sense for us to be here. We have a few vehicles and we spend our time coordinating where they need to go. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the drivers know the routes. My office is at No. 9 - B and it’s usually pretty loud with the phones ringing. We don't have a big fancy warehouse, just our base of operations here. Moving goods from one place to another is what we do every day. Some days are smoother than others, especially when the weather is bad or the roads are blocked. We try to keep things moving as much as we can. It’s a family-run thing mostly. We’ve been in Laxmi Nagar for a good bit of time and know the shortcuts around Porur. People call us when they have stuff that needs to get from A to B without too much fuss. We don't do big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have seen our trucks around. It is hard work and the hours are long, but that is just the nature of transport. We keep at it because it’s what we know. We always check the tires and engines before anyone heads out on a long trip to the city.
