Our place is over at Plot No. 64 in the Gidc area of Dharampur. It’s an industrial zone, so there’s always the sound of machines or trucks moving around in the background. We’ve been at this location for a while, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well enough. Most of us get here early before the sun gets too hot. The office inside the plant is small and gets a bit dusty because of all the activity outside on the road. We spend most of our time dealing with the paperwork for the various shipments or checking on the workers on the floor. It’s not a quiet job, that’s for sure. There’s a small canteen nearby where we usually get our lunch, or sometimes we just bring tiffin from home and eat together in the break area. The monsoon season is always a bit of a headache because the roads in Gidc tend to get muddy and flooded, making it hard for the lorries to get to our gate. We’ve got a couple of old fans that creak when they’re on high speed, but they keep the air moving. It’s a straightforward environment. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and safety charts. People come and go, deliveries arrive, and we just keep moving along with the schedule. It's a busy life here in Dharampur and there is always something to fix.
