If you walk down Station Road in Porbandar, you’ll find us. Being near the station means there’s always the sound of trains and people moving around. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where we’ve set up some classrooms for the kids. The air always has a bit of salt in it because we aren't far from the sea. We spend our days mostly on the floor with the children, trying to get them to focus on their blocks or their colors. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always clicking away overhead. We have some colorful charts on the walls to hide the damp patches from the last monsoon. It’s a small team here. We make our own tea and take turns cleaning up after the kids. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going. We don't have any big corporate policies or fancy brochures. It’s just a local spot for parents to leave their kids while they work. We make sure they don't get into trouble and that they learn a few things before their parents come back in the evening. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon. We’re just part of the neighborhood, like any other shop or house on the street. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
