Chums School Porbandar

Right now, things are a bit chaotic at Chums School Porbandar because we are in the middle of a big change. We have been here for a long time, but the plan is to move the whole operation down to Chennai. This is supposed to happen in May 2008, so there are boxes everywhere and everyone is talking about the move. It is a long way from here to Chennai, and moving a whole school isn't exactly easy. We are sorting through old papers and furniture, trying to figure out what stays and what goes. Some people are excited about the new start in a bigger city, while others are going to miss being here in Porbandar. It’s a lot of work to coordinate everything. We spend our days making lists and calling people to arrange the transport. The rooms feel a bit empty now that some things are already packed up. We still have the daily routine, but the move is always on our minds. It’s just a busy time for us all. We are looking at maps and learning about the new neighborhood where we will be staying. It’s going to be a different climate and a different language too. We just want to get through this month and get everything settled without too much trouble. It is a big step for the school, shifting everything we have built here to a new place.
