Our setup is in Shop Number 10 at Kuber Plaza. It is right there in the Khack Chowk area of Porbandar. If you know Porbandar, you know this part of town is always moving. Kuber Plaza has a lot of different shops, so there are always people walking around. We handle the Anand Financial Services side of the cement business here. It is a small shop, but it serves the purpose for all the local people needing help with their accounts or cement orders. The walls are covered with old calendars and maps of the local routes. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just a few fans that keep the air moving on humid days. 360575 is our local area code. Being near the chowk means we hear all the traffic and the local vendors all day long. We have been in this shop for some time, and most of the regulars know exactly where to find us. We keep the doors open so people can just poke their heads in and ask a question. We don't use any complicated systems, just old-fashioned record-keeping and a basic computer for the main stuff. Porbandar is a coastal town, so things can get a bit salty and damp, but we just wipe down the desks and keep going. It is a straightforward place to work and we like being right in the middle of the local market action where we can talk to our customers directly.
