Adarsh Nivasi Shala

Being right on National Highway 8 near Ranavav means we see a lot of traffic passing by. Adarsh Nivasi Shala is a residential school, so the kids actually live here most of the time. This makes the place feel a bit different from a normal day school because it doesn't really empty out in the evenings. We are out here in the Porbandar area, and it can get quite windy sometimes. The rooms are basic, and we spend a lot of time just managing the logistics of having so many people staying in one place. There’s a kitchen that stays busy, and we have to keep an eye on everything from the water supply to the beds. It’s hard work and it isn't always pretty. Some of the walls have scuff marks from years of use, and the yard gets a bit dry in the summer months. But it’s a place for the students to stay and learn without having to travel back and forth every day. We are just a group of people trying to keep things running smoothly for the kids who live here.
