American Sweet Corn

Kodalur Koveil is a busy area, and we are located right at number 63. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the corn. It comes in fresh from the fields and we have to sort through it all day long to make sure it is good. The shop itself isn't very big, but we have managed to make it work over the years. Most people around here know who we are because we have been at this specific spot for quite some time now. It gets really loud and crowded when there are festivals happening at the koveil nearby. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the noise. Sometimes the machines we use act up, but we usually fix them ourselves with some tools we keep in the back. It is definitely not a corporate office environment. It is just a place with a lot of heavy sacks of corn and some steam in the air. The floors tend to get a bit wet sometimes. We start very early in the morning before the sun has even come up properly. It is hot and tiring work, but it helps us pay the bills. We don't bother with a website or any of that internet stuff. We just have the name American Sweet Corn on a simple board. People sometimes ask why we picked that name, but it is just what we have always called it. My kids come by to help out after their school is done. We have a few old benches for people to sit on while they wait.
