Vasantha Snacks

Our shop, Vasantha Snacks, is located at No 22 Brindavan Avenue in the Sri Nagar Colony area of Thirumullaivoyal. We are quite close to the Thirumullaivoyal Railway Station and Senthil Nagar, so we get a lot of people stopping in while they are walking to or from the train. It is a small place, just enough room for our frying station and some shelves to show what we have made that day. We spend most of our afternoons making different kinds of murukku, mixture, and other local snacks. The smell of the hot oil usually tells people we are open and busy. We don't have a big staff. It is just a few of us working together. We try to keep everything fresh, so we don't make huge batches that sit around for weeks. Some days we sell out quite early, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. We don't have a fancy website or an online ordering system. People just come to the counter and tell us what they want. It’s a very simple, local way of doing things. The noise from the nearby railway station is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We are just a small neighborhood shop trying to make decent snacks for the people who live and work around here. We aren't trying to be a big brand or anything like that.
