Jayamaruthi Natural Agro Farms Llp is situated over at No 252/3 on 3rd Cross Street. It’s in the Anandharangapillai Nagar area of Pondicherry. We’ve been working on this for a bit, focusing on natural ways to grow things. It’s a lot slower than the usual farming, but we prefer it that way. The office is just a small place where we keep our records and meet with people. Most of our time is spent out on the actual farm plots rather than sitting at a desk. We’re not really into the big corporate style of doing things. We’re just a small partnership. My cousins and a few friends help out when things get busy during the harvest. We grow a variety of stuff, whatever the season allows. Sometimes the bugs get to the crops, or the sun is too hot, and we just have to figure it out. It’s not a perfect system, but we’re learning as we go. People in the neighborhood often stop by to ask what we’re planting this month. We don't have any fancy brochures or big promises. We just try to grow food that’s decent and do right by the land we’re using. If you’re ever near the 3rd Cross Street, you might see us hauling supplies or just taking a break in the shade. It’s a quiet life, mostly focused on the dirt and the plants. We don't worry about being the biggest, just about doing the work right.
