Swaraj

Our place is out on Dharapuram Road in Pollikalipalayam. We go by the name Swaraj, and most people around here know us for the tractors and farm equipment. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We’ve got the yard where the machines sit and a small office where we handle the paperwork. Dharapuram Road can get quite busy with trucks and buses, so there’s always a lot of noise and dust around. We spend most of our time talking to farmers from the surrounding villages. They come in looking for a new tractor or maybe just a specific part because something broke down in the middle of a job. We aren't the type to wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. We’re usually out there with grease on our hands or showing someone how a specific feature works. It’s practical work. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for a part to come in from the main warehouse, and we have to explain that to a frustrated customer. But mostly, people are patient because they know we’re doing our best. Pollikalipalayam is a quiet place otherwise, and we like being situated here. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass walls. It’s just a functional space where work gets done. We focus on the machines and making sure the people who buy them can actually use them to earn their living. We keep things simple and try to help out everyone who stops by our gate.
