Ma Namita Rice Mill

Ma Namita Rice Mill is located at No C38 in Ramasamy Nagar, Udumelpet. We’ve been milling rice here for a good while. The town is known for this kind of work, and we are just one of the local spots keeping the tradition going. Our mill is a practical space. It’s filled with the sound of grains moving through the hoppers and the steady hum of the engines. We don't have any fancy office furniture or air conditioning in the main area. It’s just hard work and plenty of bags to be moved around. The sun gets really bright in Udumelpet, so the shade of the mill is where we spend most of our time. We work with local farmers mostly. They bring in their harvest, and we process it as quickly as we can. There isn't much to say beyond that. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to make sure the rice is cleaned and packed right. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend a whole afternoon with grease on our hands fixing a belt or a motor. That’s just how it goes with this kind of work. The people who live in Ramasamy Nagar know us as the place that’s always got a bit of grain dust in the air. We’re just regular folks earning a living by doing something useful for everyone who buys our rice.
