Fixout

We are based on East Boring Canal Road. It’s a busy stretch of road and we are right in the thick of it. Our shop, Fixout, is where we spend our days repairing laptops and mobile phones. We started this because we liked taking things apart to see how they worked. Now we do it for everyone in the neighborhood. The shop floor is often covered with tiny screws and bits of plastic. We have a lot of tools and magnifying glasses on the benches. It’s not the cleanest place because we are always in the middle of a job. People drop off their broken screens or dead batteries and we see what we can do. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of stools. Most people just leave their devices and come back later. We try to be honest about whether something is worth fixing. If the motherboard is gone, we will tell you straight. We’ve seen all kinds of damage, from water spills to cracked frames. The traffic on Canal Road is always heavy, so parking can be a bit of a headache. But we are easy to spot once you get here. It’s just a small team of us working here. We like the challenge of a difficult repair. Stop by if your tech is giving you trouble.
