Vidya Mandir School

Our school is located out on Sendurai Road in Ariyalur, specifically in the Thamaraikulam Post area. It’s a quiet spot compared to the main town, which is nice for the kids. We have been running Vidya Mandir School for a long time, and every morning starts about the same for us. The buses roll in, and the sound of children talking fills the hallways before the first bell rings. We have several classrooms and a playground that gets a lot of use during the short breaks. The teachers here are mostly locals who have been with us for years. They know the families in the village and how things go around here. We don't have those massive glass buildings you see in big cities, but we have solid walls and plenty of books. In the afternoons, you can hear the younger ones reciting their lessons while the older students are busy with their notebooks. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We focus on getting the children through their lessons so they can do well later on. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running in 621704, from managing the schedules to making sure the roof doesn't leak during the monsoon rains. We just take it day by day, making sure everyone is learning something useful before they head home for dinner. It is a simple place with a lot of history.
