Srimad Andavan College

We’ve been here in Tiruchirappalli for quite a while now. Running Srimad Andavan College takes a lot of effort every single day. Most mornings start early because the sun gets pretty hot here in Tamil Nadu by midday. You see students walking through the gates at 621601, some looking tired and others talking loudly about their upcoming exams. We try to keep the buildings tidy, but with so many people coming and going, there’s always something to fix or paint. It’s a busy place. The offices are usually full of paperwork and people asking questions about admissions or fees. We don't have fancy lobbies, just chairs and desks where we get the work done. Trichy is a crowded city, and our campus feels like a little world of its own. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms make a lot of noise, but nobody really minds. We just keep going. It’s about the routine here—lectures, lunch breaks, and the rush to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. We have local staff who have been with us for years. They know every corner of this college. It isn’t always perfect, and some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there’s a big event or results are coming out. We just focus on what needs to get done for the day. That’s how it works for us here on a regular Tuesday or Wednesday.
