Usha General Store

We have been running this shop on Bahadurpur Main Road for a good while now. It is right in the heart of Kankarbagh in Patna. The area is always busy with people going to work or heading home. Our store is small, but we cram in a lot of daily essentials on the shelves. You can find things like lentils, sugar, soaps, and those snacks the kids are always asking for. Sometimes the deliveries are a bit late because of the Patna traffic, so we might run out of one thing or another for a day. We try to keep it all sorted, though. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors, so we spend a lot of time just catching up on local news. The fan behind the counter hums all day because it gets really hot here. My nephew comes in to help me move the heavy sacks of flour on the weekends. We don't have any fancy scanners or anything like that. I just write things down in a big notebook when someone takes things on credit. It is a simple place and it stays dusty no matter how much we sweep. If you are walking down the main road, you will see our old blue sign. We just want to make sure the folks around here can get their groceries without having to go too far from home. It is a plain and honest business.
