If you go down Ashiyana Road towards Digha in Patna, you’ll find us. We are at Sheela Kumari’s place. Amitabh Kr. Raman is part of the team here too. It’s a very busy stretch of road. There’s always some construction or something happening right outside the door. Being an emergency hospital means we don't really have a closing time like other shops. The lights are always on. You can see the glow from the street at night. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit everything we need into the space. We have stretchers and some monitors and lots of people in white coats running around. The smell of disinfectant is pretty strong as soon as you walk in the door. People arrive at all hours, usually looking a bit worried or in a hurry. We don't have time for long speeches or polished talk. We just get to work. The staff drinks a lot of tea to stay awake during the long night shifts. It’s a noisy neighborhood with the traffic from Digha constantly buzzing past. We have some plastic chairs for people to wait in. They aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. We've been here for a while and the local shops know us well. We don't have a big corporate board or a fancy lobby. It’s just a place that stays busy and tries to keep up with the city. Every day is different and you never know who will come in.
