Shekhar Hospital

You can find us over on Bailey Road in the Sheikhpura area of Patna. Shekhar Hospital is pretty close to Mangal Market, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our doors. It’s a noisy, busy part of the city, and we’ve become a bit of a fixture here over the years. The hospital itself is a practical building designed to handle the large number of people who come in from all over Bihar. We aren't a fancy private facility with marble floors. Instead, we have simple rooms and a hardworking staff that stays on their feet most of the day. The lobby is usually crowded with people waiting for their turn, and you can hear the sounds of the market and the traffic from Bailey Road all day long. We deal with a lot of different medical issues, and some days are much harder than others. When the power goes out, which happens from time to time, we have to rely on our generator. Our doctors and nurses are mostly locals who understand the needs of the people here. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on seeing the patients who show up. It’s a bit chaotic at times, especially during the peak hours in the afternoon, but we manage to get everyone seen eventually. It’s just a regular hospital trying to help out in a very busy part of Patna.
