Shalimar Departmental Store

We opened up Shalimar Departmental Store quite a while back now in the Patliputra Complex area. It is right there in Lohiya Nagar Kankarbagh. If you know the Malahi Pakhri Chowraha, we are just near that spot. Most days are pretty busy around here because of the traffic and people moving about in Kankarbagh. I usually get in early to open the shutters and start arranging the shelves before the first group of regulars shows up. It is a lot of work keeping everything in order in a place like Patna. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, especially when it gets really dusty or rains heavy. We see all kinds of people coming in for their daily needs. The building itself is okay, nothing fancy, just a standard spot where we keep our stock. My cousin helps me out sometimes when it gets too crowded in the afternoons. We try to keep things simple and just handle what the neighborhood needs. The address says 800020 on the mail. It is funny how the neighborhood has changed over the years since we first started. You get used to the noise from the chowraha after a while. Most people just call us Shalimar and they know exactly where to find the shop in the complex. It is just a regular life running a store here in Patna. We keep the doors open until late evening usually.
