Poor Parlor Marketing Private Limited is over at Shanti Balram Market. This is on the Main Road in Khemnichak, under the New Jaganpura post office. Being in a market means there is always something going on. There are shops selling clothes and groceries all around us, and the noise of the traffic on the Main Road is constant. It’s a very active place. Our office is tucked away inside the market building. It’s not a very big space, but it fits what we need. We have a couple of desks and a shelf for all our files. Because we are in a market, we get a lot of people walking by. Sometimes people pop their heads in just to see what we are doing. We spend our days mostly on the phone or typing away at the keyboards. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the floor is just plain cement, but it’s a solid place to work. We like being in Khemnichak because everything is close by. If we need something, we just walk out the door and find it in the market. It’s a practical location for a marketing office. We don’t have a fancy entrance, just a regular door with our name on it. It’s a bit cramped when we are all in there at once, but we make it work. It feels like a real, hardworking part of the city.
