Orchid Hospital

Orchid Hospital is situated in PC Colony in the Kankarbagh area. We are at K-26, which is a fairly residential part of Patna. It’s nice being in a colony because it feels a bit more like a community than being on a major commercial road. You see the same faces walking their dogs or going to the corner store every day. The hospital is housed in a building that looks like a large house, so it has a bit of a familiar, lived-in feel to it. We have a small garden area out front that we try to keep green, though the Patna heat makes it hard sometimes. Inside, the rooms are laid out simply. We have the beds, the medical carts, and a small area for the family members to sit. The reception desk is right as you walk in, and there’s usually a pile of registers and a landline phone that rings quite often. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People in Kankarbagh usually just know we are here at K-26. The staff here is mostly local, so there’s a lot of chatting in the hallways in the local dialect. We spend our days making sure the patients are comfortable and that the medicine stocks are full. It’s a basic, honest setup where the focus is just on the people in the beds. It’s a busy but quiet life here in the colony.
