Om General Store

Om General Store is right in Alinagar Colony, along Anisabad Road. We are quite near the Anisabad Golambar, which is always a very busy intersection with lots of traffic. Because of our location, there is always the sound of horns and bikes in the background. Our shop is a steady place in a fast-moving part of Patna. We sell all the usual things you would expect from a general store. There are jars of pickles, packets of noodles, and various cleaning supplies like soap and detergent. We also have a good stock of grains and spices that we weigh out for people as they need them. The counter is an old wooden one that has seen a lot of use over the years. We have a small stool behind it where we sit when things are quiet for a moment, but that doesn't happen very often. Most of the day is spent fetching items for customers. They tell us what they need, and we go around the shop picking it out. It’s more personal than a big store where you have to find everything yourself. We keep a close eye on what’s selling so we don’t run out of the popular items like tea or sugar. The shop gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a small ceiling fan that helps a bit. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to do anything fancy. We just want to make sure the people in the colony can get their groceries.
